The 10 that made the cut are the ones we found the most useful, insightful and actionable. They\u2019re definitely the blogs we think you should check out if you\u2019re looking for tips and techniques to boost your productivity!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After all, you could argue that \u2018poor productivity\u2019 is more of a symptom than a disease. A simplified mindset could lead, among other things, to huge<\/em> productivity gains<\/strong>, but there are other benefits too – better decision-making, better habits and improved mental and physical health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work Life is a great collection of articles that covers productivity and more, published fortnightly by software company Atlassian<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The topics are well-thought out, the titles are clickable and engaging, and the artwork is just beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This online hub of articles has been designed with a broader purpose than \u2018just\u2019 productivity. To quote Atlassian: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWork Life is Atlassian\u2019s flagship publication dedicated to unleashing the potential of every team through real-life advice, inspiring stories, and thoughtful perspectives from leaders around the world.\u201d <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a great-looking blog, with time invested into uniform hero images for each post, and a clean, attractive page design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Productivity is one of 6 central content topics – the others being teamwork, leadership, strategy, communication and distributed work, meaning you can get straight to the productivity stuff if you want to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Posts are engaging, well-written and include lots of good info. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the super productive among us, each post has a 5-second summary at the top. This can help you decide whether to invest time into reading the full thing or simply take the lessons away without reading further – although you\u2019ll often be missing out on some good stuff in the body of the post itself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One slight potential drawback – as you can gather from the blog\u2019s mission statement, there IS an unashamed angle towards unleashing the potential of \u2018teams\u2019 which means, if you\u2019re a freelancer or solopreneur looking to boost your own productivity, then you might prefer some of the other blogs on this list.<\/p>\n\n\n

To put that slightly differently, what this blog lacks in style it MORE<\/em> than makes up for in substance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can probably tell from the above image, this is a really personal blog – with work and productivity<\/a> playing a key part because of who Steve Pavlina is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s quite a nice experience to get advice from someone whose whole focus is growth and development – especially knowing you\u2019re getting it straight from the horse\u2019s mouth, so to speak – although some readers will find many of the concepts a little theoretical and framework based.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Content is published semi-regularly – 1-2 articles per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it\u2019s clear that Steve\u2019s writing because he has something to say about productivity and growth, rather than to just hit a publishing quota. He writes thought-provoking opinion pieces that aren\u2019t just aiming to bring traffic and visibility – but really challenging how people think.<\/p>\n\n\n

\n Limited and narrow in the sense that it\u2019s a largely personal blog, but comes with the authenticity and credibility of knowing that this is someone immersed in personal development and his words carry some weight.\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

6. \u200b\u200bProductivity501<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Seeking to offer ‘pieces of the productivity puzzle,\u2019 Productivity501<\/a> does pretty much what it says on the tin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Productivity\u2019 is one of the content topics, with others including technology, development, organisation, money and time, offering a broad spectrum of topic focuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much, if not all of the content on Productivity501 is written by Mark Shead who has a background in software engineering. This gives his outlook on productivity a helpful scientific angle, and it\u2019s rooted in real-world experience.<\/p>\n\n\n

James Clear<\/a> is perhaps best known as the author of Atomic Habits, a book that\u2019s well worth reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But he also gives away a bunch of free expertise on his blog, in a variety of different categories: creativity, decision making, focus, habits, life lessons, motivation, self-improvement, and – of course – productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The productivity<\/a> section of the blog is different to what you might find on other sites, in that it\u2019s almost a \u2018mega blog\u2019 piecing together a number of different articles into a sort of online guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This isn\u2019t the type of blog that you need to be checking out every day or every week – as it doesn\u2019t seem like new content is constantly being added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what Clear does <\/em>offer is a content hub that is great to bookmark and read – it links out to a host of fundamental info about productivity, including many of the author\u2019s own favourite techniques, strategies and ideas – and also those of famous people including President Eisenhower<\/a>, Warren Buffet and Anthony Trollope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll find yourself opening 3 or 4 new articles in new tabs, or bookmarking them for later, which can become overwhelming – but there\u2019s just so much value to go at here that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks!<\/p>\n\n\n

\n A glut of valuable productivity-boosting content that only loses marks for being sporadically updated, and potentially a little overwhelming in terms of finding and navigating content to read.\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

8. Institute of Productivity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes you find diamonds hidden in the rough – and the Institute of Productivity<\/a> feels like one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a somewhat outdated design and a weird URL structure, you\u2019d be forgiven for assuming the content mightn\u2019t be up to much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But look past aesthetics and what you actually find is a stream of very good – regularly-updated – content that\u2019s unerringly topical and insightful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Posts do tend to be on the short-side, which can be a good or bad thing depending on your reading preferences. But personally we respect the brevity and conciseness, and the fact that posts tend to offer opinion and\/or actionable insight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a before-his-time productivity genius once said: Why waste time say lot word when few word do trick?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n A nice, regularly-updated stream of content that\u2019s often brief but always interesting. Could potentially benefit from a redesign and some SEO tweaks to improve visibility of content.\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

9. Lifehacker<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lifehacker<\/a> is more than a productivity blog – its bold strapline promises to help readers \u2018do everything better!\u2019 and it features a wide array of categories – more than any other we\u2019ve included in our top 10 – including stuff like food and drink, money, home and parenting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means that the actual focus <\/em>of the site is quite diffuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the \u2018Work\u2019 section of the blog definitely carries enough value to warrant inclusion here. It features contributions from some eminent thinkers and leaders, sharing their own productivity tips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s also easy to just type ‘productivity’ into the search bar to find a long list of valuable articles: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This large network of contributors is a double-edged sword because it means content is regularly updated and comes with a wide array of perspectives –  but, critically, it means that you can never be quite sure who <\/em>you\u2019re taking advice from and how much weight to place on their opinions.<\/p>\n\n\n
